FTTH and FTTx Network Expansion in Bonn & Alfter

Wolken ASM GmbH is executing a comprehensive FTTH (Fiber to the Home) and FTTx (Fiber to the x) network expansion in Bonn and Alfter. Two specialized teams are deploying state-of-the-art fiber infrastructure, including backbone components (ONK, OLT, and PV GPON), to deliver fast, reliable, and scalable connectivity for residents and businesses.

Project Scope

• Installation of house connections (HA) for private and commercial properties
• At least 20 house connections per week per team
• Complete network planning and documentation
• Fiber supply directly to apartments

Technical Implementation

• Blowing in fiber optic cables for efficient installation
• Installation of network termination points (NvT)
• Installation and setup of APL (Access Point Line Technology)
• Installation and setup of ONT (Optical Network Terminal)
• Splice cassette installation for robust connections

Quality Assurance

• Air pressure testing of house connections
• Splice connection tests and signal quality checks
• Photo documentation with geolocation data
• Complete protocol of all installation steps
